Guggenheim’s Works & Process: Pacific Northwest Ballet (Sept. 9th & 10th)
Pacific Northwest Ballet will present a full season at New York City Center in February, but for those who long for a glimpse of this Seattle-based company, directed by the former New York City Ballet principal Peter Boal, there is a glimmer of light. That would be the company’s capsule appearance at the estimable Works & Process series at the Guggenheim Museum.
PNB principals Maria Chapman, Carla Körbes, Seth Orza, with Lesley Rausch and company dancers will perform excerpts from Pacific Northwest Ballet‘s City Center season in February. The company will perform excerpts from the company’s upcoming City Center season and other works, including George Balanchine’s Apollo, Agon, The Four Temperaments, and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux.
Mr. Boal will discuss his career, including his experience being coached in “Apollo.” Expect the programs to be mobbed; if you can’t get a ticket, know that Sunday night’s session will be streamed live at ustream.tv/worksandprocess.
