The New York International Ballet Competition (NYIBC), announces that the 11th NYIBC will take place at the Rose Theater/Lincoln Center in June 2013, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the founding of NYIBC by Ilona Copen and Igor Youskevitch. The organization was founded in 1983 and the first public event was held in 1984 in New York City.

NYIBC is a three-week intensive program of artistic education and professional training with outstanding performance, net-working, and career advancement opportunities for forty-eight talented young dancers from countries around the world, all of whom receive full scholarships to participate. NYIBC nurtures promising dancers ages 17 to 24 from all ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds, providing them with an exceptional opportunity to focus on training to perform at their highest artistic level.

The unforgettable evening of dance showcased artists, including several alumni, from seven major companies: American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Dance Theatre of Harlem, The Joffrey Ballet, Limon Dance Company, New Jersey Ballet and North Carolina Dance Theatre.
